Burma – a lasting impression

There are the sights, natural and man-made, the stupa studded plains of Bagan, Yangon’s giant golden pagoda, the floating gardens of Inle lake, but it’s the resilient and wecoming Burmese people who create the lasting impression!

11-Day Guided Tour

Day 1 Arrival in Mandalay. Transfer to hotel and overnight

Day 2 Start with a boat trip up the Ayeyarwaddy, to visit the unfinished Mingun Paya. After lunch sightseeing of Mahamuni Pagoda and Kuthodaw Pagoda.

Day 3 Drive to Amarapura, to visit U Bein’s Bridge. Next visit will be the Mahagandayone Monastery.

Day 4 Join a small Cruise to Bagan. Late afternoon, transfer to mandalay airport and fly to Bagan.

Day 5 Morning visit to Nyuang Oo market. Visit the Pagodas: Hwezigon, Gubyaukgyi, Htilo Minlo and the amazing Ananda temple. Visit to local village.

Day 6 Drive to Mt Popa, an extinct volcano with spectecular views. Evening sunset cruise along the Irrawaddy River.

Day 7 Fly to Heho. Proceed to Pindaya. Visit the Pindaya Caves. After visiting the town, drive to Kalaw, fresh and delightful hill station, on the nrom of the Shan Plateau.

Day 8 Drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to Inle Lake. Visit a floating farm and see how the farmers make their produce in the middle of the lake.

Day 9 Visit more villages o learn more about tribes who live around the lake.

Day 10 Visit the beautiful temples of Inndein situated through covered passage to the summit overlooking the lake.

Day 11 Travel back to Yangon. City tour.

Day 12 Fly back home.
